Ocean Film Festival dives into the UK this autumn
July 25, 2023Experience an exciting night of ocean exploration with the Ocean Film Festival World Tour, which will be showcasing a new collection of thrilling ocean-themed films across various venues in the UK this autumn. Celebrating its tenth year, the festival is a cinematic tribute to the world’s oceans, featuring astonishing marine creatures, exhilarating water sports, and shedding light on the profound impact of a lifestyle connected to the sea.
“When we first launched the Ocean Film Festival World Tour, we had ambitious goals, not only to inspire people to explore and enjoy our oceans but also to protect and preserve them,” says Jemima Robinson, the founder of the festival.
“With my passion for film and everything related to the ocean, my vision for the Ocean Film Festival World Tour was to bring people together to celebrate Mother Nature. We achieve this by sharing unique stories from independent filmmakers around the world, and now we set our sights on the next ten years,” Robinson adds.
The Ocean Film Festival initially originated in Australia and, over the past decade, it has been shown in 14 countries, featuring films from 89 independent filmmakers and raising over £21,000 for ocean charities. The 2023 UK tour is proudly presented by the Marine Conservation Society and PADI, the world’s largest diver organization.

The inspirational short films will be introduced by a host, and each screening will include a free prize giveaway where attendees have the chance to win ocean-related goodies.
