RAID launches Public Safety Diver programme

Dive RAID International (DRI) has entered a new market segment by introducing its Public Safety Diver program, designed for both entry-level divers and instructors. The CEO of DRI, Sabatino Bianco, acknowledged that this expansion diverges from the organization’s traditional focus but emphasized that experienced PSD team leaders were involved in creating a program that adheres to their high standards. Bianco expressed his satisfaction in meeting the demand of their members who are either currently involved in or planning to establish a Public Safety Dive Team according to the RAID methodology. The PSD course offered by RAID is available to individuals aged 18 and above, who possess RAID Explorer 30 or RAID Advanced 35 certification (or equivalent). However, they must also be affiliated with a Public Safety Organization or serve as a volunteer under an agency’s direct supervision. Rest assured, this training aligns with OSHA and NFPA regulations.
